I'm on my way to Molokai, the Hawaiian island made famous by Father Damien, so maybe I'll get a chance to read more. Of course I'll be there with 96 8th graders, but hey, I can hope.

A must read that I just stayed up too late last night to finish was-The Adoration of Jenna Fox by Mary E. Pearson. It's a page turner. I'll be reviewing ina couple of days on my site. Enjoy your trip!
Bloody Jack and My Most Excellent Year look good! Enjoy Hawaii - that is one place I would love to see!
My Most Excellent Year looks good. I actually had a difficult time putting down Graceling last night. Then I got Beautiful Creatures from the library today. I should never have started reading it while I was waiting in line.
Tammy - I agree! The Adoration of Jenna Fox really is a page turner. It's been hit or miss as far as recommending it to students, but I couldn't stop talking about it after I read it!
Sheila - I actually live in Hawaii, just on another island, but I definitely am thankful that whenever I hear talk of snow storms, I can look out at blue skies and tradewinds.
Stephanie - I have Beautiful Creatures in my room - sounds like it's a next read. Thanks!
Looks like you have some good reading ahead of you! I'm really curious about The Choice, I've been seeing it around and can't help but want to read it.
As for next reads, I also just picked up a copy of Beautiful Creatures and can't wait to get started! Have a great week!
The 1st Daughter,
There's a book blog tour going on for the Choice (lit fuse publicity), so that's probably why you're seeing a lot about it. I've only heard good reviews. Hope to hear how you like Beautiful Creatures. :-)
I like the look of My most excellent year. Some great books there.
That is going to be quite a trip to hawaii! My Most Excellent Year sounds like it could be a fun book. I'll have to pop back over to see what you thought.
I have the Bloody Jack books on my TBR list!
