My Thoughts:
This is for your tween male who is interested in adventuring. Les Stroud, real life adventurer and reality TV's Survivorman is not ashamed to talk about his own mistakes in order to help budding survivalists to prepare a little better by learning from his near miss experiences. This full color graphic novel will really appeal to all outdoors students, male or female. I think some of the graphics are a little gross for me, but I think that is the whole point.
Main takeaways: be present, be prepared, take care of necessities first.
